Lego - Disney Minifigures

I went to Woolies in Mortdale yesterday and picked some up - I got two new ones - Maleficent and Minnie.

I'm missing Alice, Alien and Hook.

We've got doubles of Ursula, Genie, and Peter Pan.

If you're still missing Alien and Hook come the next meeting, you can buy ours for face value. I'm just going to bring our doubles in case people who don't come on here are at the meeting and collect them. I'm going to buy the last 2 we need on EBay since we could waste money on the high chance of a double now!

I know - I was going to post about this castle...it looks brilliant.

Over 4,000 pieces...expensive, but wow...I hate to say it, but I'm tempted.  It gets released on 1 September - and I'll be in WDW Disney Springs just two days later...

I really shouldn't get it, but I probably will end up doing it. We're going to London & Paris at the beginning of August, so I'll have to try not to go overboard at Disneyland and the Disney stores

So, I ordered the castle last week. It's shipping from Denmark, so I won't get it for around another 2 weeks, but at least I don't have to stress about getting to a store to find it! I'll post progress photos of my build!

Awesome!  Last time I looked on the Lego website, they weren't taking pre-orders...I'll have to check it tonight

Yeah, i'm pretty excited.  As far as i'm aware, the pre-orders are for Lego VIP members only.
It has been available in some stores overseas too, but again, i think only for VIP purchases.
The shipping details say it's 13.5lbs, so it might be a bit heavy to bring home from WDW

Once you've finished it do you unbuild it and put it away or leave it in a built state?

My castle arrived on Friday! I haven't opened it yet, but once I get my photos onto my computer I'll post some pictures of the box. Not sure when I'll get a chance to start building, but I'll add photos as I go.
Once it's built it will go on display with our other big Lego sets - Star Wars sand crawler and Simpsons kwik-e-mart

I know I'm late to this board and not sure if anyone is still watching it, however a friend of mine still needs Aladdin and Buzz. Can anyone help me?  I'm not sure what she's prepared to pay, however if you have either of these to sell please let me know.

I looked in the USA for her however only found them in New Orleans at a market for $15 US each which is exorbitant considering the stores sold them under $4 (the 2 stores which had some didn't have those characters - one was selling 6 open on a tray and Lego store had already felt the few they had left which was helpful).   Would you believe in the USA they went on sale for a while to get rid of stock!!  I was advised at the Lego store that they certainly weren't discontinued however that said, nowhere else I checked had any.
