I thought the 20% was limited anyway. When we were there in 2009/10 the 20% stopped the day before we left on January 9 (obviously we made the most of it ). Shame though, but 10% is still better than a poke in the eye with a hot churro.
Our Port Adventure bookings open on Tuesday next week, so Della and I are going to spend some time on Saturday working out what we'll do. There is a tour of the old San Juan pirate fort/township that we want to do, and a snorkelling tour with sea turtles in St Thomas, but I'll let you know later in the week which ones we end up actually getting! So Keith what Port Adventures have you picked?
We've purchased NASA Annual Passes - so on our first day there, we'll do the included two hour bus tour and look through the entire visitor centre, and then we'll decide if we'll go back in a couple of week's time to do one of the special interest tours. They had a number of special tours available through 2012 for the 50th anniversary of NASA but they are meant to end on 7 Jan this year - so I'm waiting to see what special interest tours are still available from next week - I'd like to do the historic tour of the old launch facilities. What NASA tours have you booked?
Nicole and Matthew booked that tour - I'll speak to them when they get back to see what that was like - I think it would be awesome too.I believe you can now tour the inside of the VAB - you must do that!
