Hi all,

...........6..................... Let the packing begin!

Jennie told me that we don't have a ticket for the 12th, as the tickets are only good for the dates that are issued (with accom)
Wayne has suggested that we see if we can swap days on our ticket when we get there, and doesn't think that we'll have a problem

Yep - the 12th shouldn't be a problem - even if we have to buy an extra ticket for that day.

I went and bought my currency at the bank today. USD, EUR and HKD - it makes it feel even closer now.

.......11 sleeps for me........

If we are going to be doing some photos for Associated Press this Saturday, don't forget to wear your t-shirt and maybe we should be wearing Mickey ears?

MiceQuest 2006

Postby KeithS » Mon Aug 28, 2006 9:39 pm

Okay travellers, just something for you to keep in mind for the club meeting on Saturday...

We are all competing in the http://www.micechat.com MiceQuest 2006 on September 30 in Disneyland.

We have two teams: Wayne, Jennifer, Della and myself; and Julie, Jim and Gerard.

Next week, we have to provide Micechat with our team names - so get your thinking caps on and we'll discuss this in more detail at the club meeting on Saturday! Let's get creative and give them something with a Disney DownUnder theme.

This is going to be a great fun event. See you all Saturday.

Latest weather report from our friend in Japan for our day of arrival 24-29 degrees and a 10-20% chance of rain. It might pay to have something lightweight / waterproof in our carry ons that we can just quickly grab if necessary as we "dump our bags and run for the Disney bus" at the hotel.

Bring it on!!!!!

Sounds like a fun day you had at the zoo, now you weren't comparing us to the animals were you? ....... stupid question

Wow, another week over - I was back in Melbourne until this afternoon, so that made the time move much faster.

Wayne and I did part one of the photoshoot this afternoon at the Sydney Opera House for the Associate Press travel article they will be running about our trip. This could be the start of our male-modeling career :) We must have had 100-150 photos taken of us! Can't wait to see them as it was a beautiful afternoon in Sydney. Part two of this photoshoot will take place in Hong Kong along with the interviews. The photographer said he would send us some of the pictures, so we might get permission to upload them here in the next week.

Princess Belle - thanks for the kind words, wish you were coming with us! I'll try and keep this thread running when we are overseas by giving updates.

See you guys tomorrow (for those heading to the regular club meeting in Sydney).

Goodbye Guys -as much as it hurts me- have fun! I expect a full and glowing report of the Phantom Manor. As well as Gerard and Keith coming back with heaps of photos all ready to scrap!

Have a good flight all you Tokyo guys! Wish I was going with you - I've still got three more days at work :( !!

Anyway, see you in Hong Kong on Friday night :D

Weather for Hong Kong looks pretty good at this stage (at least there are no typhoons forecast!) It is going to be hot - so bring your swimmers and I'll meet you poolside!
