That will have to be seen to be believed. Have you got any photos of that Lisa?
As luck would have it - I do. And of the Local Loo. (yep, I know thats weird - but, hey - I was flabergasted!) :D I'll put on my favourites and those two.
And how do you know from the outside if it's a western loo? Does it say that on the outside or does the smell give it away (sorry I'm sinking really low here but I need to know)
Can't remember if there was a sign (or smell) but there was always a western loo in all the Ladies we frequented (and I had a 4 year old with me- so we checked them ALL out ](*,) ) not so outside the park I'm afraid - be prepared!

If you get the chance, the shopping centre about 2 or 3 train stops down from the park towards Tokyo is a WONDERLAND of great stuff. I got the best chopsticks I've ever used - they are still my chopsticks of choice! The Japanese tradition is to take home a gift for all the rellies so theres LOTS of great shopping at TDL. And try out the 'deluxe' bread if you get the chance. :D

And about their dress, the school kids are the ones that I remember the most - they looked like anime come to life

We video-ed everything that moved (hours and hours of it), don't think you'll have a problem with that - we were never left wondering if we could film/take photos or not.

~Lisa :)

How funny, I don't know how I'll keep from embarassing myself in fits of laughter. Oh well I suppose that they'll just assume that I'm just another stupid westerner (and they won't be wrong)
I really just assumed that Disneyland set the benchmark and that all the other parks had to live up to it but it sounds like Tokyo is the one setting the new standards.

Thanks for the tips they are greatly appreciated. The only thing that we are worring about is how are we going to squeeze everything in to 4 days?
Sounds like there will be so much to see at Tokyo that we will be going flat out morning and night.

Wait until you see their Electical Parade "Dream Lights" it makes MSEP and Spectromagic look like a kid with a flashlight.

This just keeps sounding better and better!

Do you know if the "dreamlights" parade will be on when we visit?

I've updated my FAQ on page four of this thread to include information relating to overseas power plugs in case you need to get adaptors to recharge your mobile/camera/curling wand etc! :)

Ok Julie, ask and ye shall receive............
theres a photo of the cleaner in my new album :) (Thanks Greg)

And for those who may be squeamish - look away when you see the loo photo  - and a few other shots to prove I actually take normal photos too!

I'll put a couple more on this arvo after I get back from 'doing' lunch.

keeping in mind that they are film rather than digital photos so have had to mess with them a bit to put them on.

Well I don't know what to say Lisa, cleaning the streets had to be seen to be believed, the poor guy, I wonder what he did to deserve that job, the strange thing is he seems to be concerntrating real hard on doing a good job. As for the toilet.... well... it looks like a "mens" has slipped off the wall and landed on the floor. I really just don't know what to say other than thanks for the tip off and I don't think that I'll be eating much or drinking too much coffee whilst in Japan. I wonder if HongKong is the same?

(By the way great shots of both Big Thunder Mountain and the Castle!)

Nope - Hong Kong was normal in that regard... And it is very clean too - once again they take great pride in their park.

Still laughing........... hadn't thought of it like that but your are so right!

Ta, theres a few more there now.

The vending machines were cool. They were everywhere. I bought heaps of stuff from them - even manga comics (the clean versions :) )
Japan is fascinating. You'll love it - weird loos and all!

We are going to ask Keith if we can have "Tokyo" added into the T-shirt spiel (even if it's just for us guys going there) What do you think?
Hi guys, just a quick t-shirt update. Yes, we are planning on having two versions of the t-shirt available (with and without Tokyo). We have a few designs on the drawing board. We also had the fortune of discovering that the son of Della's boss owns a t-shirt printing company - and he has been helping us out with suggestions.

I will have more details (and hopefully a sample and cost...) at the Pirates meeting.

...and for those not travelling, you are quite welcome to obtain one as well - the more we get, the cheaper they are :)

The page 4 FAQ has been updated again, this time with park operating hours and a link to a park map of Disneyland Paris that I've scanned and put in my photo gallery (I put up the Paris map because I couldn't find a decent one on any website! All the other parks are well catered for map-wise on official and fan sites.)
