Just thought I'd ask if, other than Scrapbooking their Disney photos, is anyone working on other Disney craft projects at the moment?
I'm in the planning stages of a Disney bracelet using glass Mickey and Minnie Beads that I bought from a bead designer in Adelaide. She made a one-off batch of these beads and I was the lucky one that saw them..... its a mix of black glass mickey head icons, Mickey and Minnie 'parts' and spacers that are 'disneyfied'. I have come up with a couple of designs, but am not sure if its quite right yet. Am toying with the idea of attaching a pressed coin I bought in TDL - not sure though.
I asked her if she could do any other characters and Hey Presto, I was the lucky (albeit, then broke) owner of a set of Donald/Daisy/Huey/Dewey & Louie beads, which I am yet to even think about using.
I'm very tempted to learn how to make these glass beads - its a type of lampwork I think.
I am also in the 'gathering stuff' stage of making a tin to keep park name badges in because I intend getting one everytime I visit a park - no harm in thinking big
I saw this done on 2peas and loved it so will be scraplifting that one.
and NOW, I want to make a canvas for my pins to live on. But not sure what form that will take yet.
And I have the pieces of Mickey & Minnie rag/primitive dolls cut out to make (one of my closest friends is a doll artist who regularly has her primative crows & dolls showcased in the Homespun magazine and she is teaching me how to do this, we drafted the pattern etc- even if she so does not 'get' Disney...)
I also have plans to make others if the first ones work (Donald, Daisy, Pluto, goofy?)
I think that will be enough to keep me out of mischief......
So is anyone else out there a serial crafter?
When I get these projects finished, I'll put them in the Scrapping photo album.
