Don't forget people, tonight on TV we will see one of the great battles of all time.

No, I'm not talking about the ALP leadership battle - I'm talking...

STATE OF ORIGIN!!!

Can NSW finally defeat those pesky Queenslanders after seven long years of being cheated...errr...I mean losing graciously :D

We'll know in just a few hours time!

I'll be strapping into my TV-appreciation seat, with some beer and a bowl full of cheese and bacon balls...I can't wait!

Here we go again! State of Origin night!

I've have a bowl of BBQ chips ready - the phone is off the hook, and my TV appreciation chair is currently being warmed up by my dog - who'll I'll kick off shortly so I can settle in.

Come on NSW - we can't possibly go down for a ninth straight year to the Queenslanders!

Another year, another large bowl of cheese and bacon balls, the series poised nicely at 1 game each.

I'm sitting in my TV chair waiting for a classic match - hoping for a field goal difference at the end of the night.

TV on, anthem sung - I recline my chair and settle in...and then it happens.

Jonathan Thurston kicks this crazy conversion from near the sideline that never looked like going through the posts, only to curve around perfectly and put the Queenslanders up 8-2. It was at that kick I turned to my Dad and said "He's on it - they'll win tonight"

From that moment - there was no turning back...final score Qld 52-6 NSW - what a drubbing...

Back to the drawing board NSW (surely these old Queenslanders will retire some day - they've fielded the same players for what seems like 25 years! LOL!)
