It looks like Disney is going to have some more competition in China, following the announcement today that Universal will build a studios theme park in Beijing, taking on Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneylands.
Construction will commence towards the end of this year. As yet, there is no information about what to expect at the new park. I'm not sure how popular franchises like Harry Potter are over there.

There are a lot of people getting rich quick in china and the money is burning a hole in their pockets. I think they would spend their money on anything new or comes from the west
