I see WDW as a Resort with 4 theme parks; plus plus plus ....

The reason I asked is that when I have occasion to try and describe WDW I usually start by saying how big the entire thing is,  which is pretty big when you describe it as X  kms long by X kms wide. People usually have an immediate impression that it's a giant theme park you have to walk around.

or alternatively....

think of WDW as a big cake the size of San Fransisco ( not sure if that's the equivalent size but stay with me) decorate with 4 big theme parks and a couple of water parks  evenly and sprinkle resorts between them all and then throw in a shopping mall at one end and a golf course at the other.  One big cake, that is too big to eat in one bite.  Break it up into bite sized chunks and enjoy!

Any ideas about what percentage is "developed" and "undeveloped"?

Hard to define developed vs undeveloped in WDW's case.  You'd have to factor in the motorways running through the place, as well as the resorts and the theme parks.  On top of that, there are wetland conservation areas set aside which are 'undeveloped' but as they wont ever be developed, you can't include them in the percentage figures.  Then you have man-made rivers and lakes, but are they developed or undeveloped

Is there room for more theme parks and resorts - I'd say yes, lots more.
