My god-daughter just got a job in WDW next year for 6-12 months as part of a university program. She is a mad Harry Potter fan so I know where she will be spending her days off. She will be working in merchandise

Congrats to your God-daughter - how much fun is that going to be?!?!?!

I always wanted to do that, but wasn't at uni long enough to do the College Program thingy.

That is great news Beth - you now have a direct conduit to all the merchandise in WDW!

I don't think she starts until part way into the year - probably their summer holiday

I read the introduction pack that Erin received from WDW last night. She will earn $7.25 an hour!!!! I heard that compared to the minimum wage she is doing well.

She received a natty little pamphlet about making clever decisions and stage presence, how to behave, what to say, what not to say etc describing being a 'cast member' and 'on stage' and general orientation pamphlets about accommodation etc

As yet she doesn't know where she will be working but it is very exciting. I have told her she is not to throw anything out!

Me too - I just like the sound of that pamphlet that she's been given.

But $7.25 an hour - sounds like she'll have to live on McDonalds once she's paid rent etc. But what an awesome adventure to look back on - I'd go if I could!

I was going to buy Erin an annual pass to Universal Studios but her mum said that she thinks the Disney staff get free entry to all the parks in Orlando. Hey Jess is this true?
