i am off to disney world. the disney cruise line and to disneyworld and we leave in 9 days!!!

My wife and I arrived on the 14th, staying until the 8th January, having a great time and the weather is very nice.

Hi Colin - is it very crowded? We went in December 2003 from the 29th November to the 21st December and the crowds started to build just before we left.

SOrry it has taken a few days to get back to you...you know how busy this time of year is.

Ok...so i leave in 5 days time!!!!! I cannot believe it. I have been counting down since about 350 days!!! it is crazy but i think the days went by faster when i was at the 100 day mark compared to how slowly it is going now. DOes that make sense to anyone else?

Ok...so here are my rough plans...(My husband thinks i am insane)


Saturday 29/12/07- Go to airport around 11am.
- Check in and get a bite to eat, while waiting for the flight.
- Fly to New Zealand (2 hour) stop over
- Fly to LAX (12 hours)!!!!! Yuck
-Arrive at LAX at 2pm.. go to hotel and then probably go down to venice beach

Sunday 30/12/07- Fly to Orlando 10:30 am
- Arrive at Orlando International 6:30pm
- get a taxi to the hotel
-get a taxi to WALMART!!!!!(a trip highlight)


Monday 31/12/07 - IOA/US-Go to Islands of Adventure….be waiting at the gates at 7:30am
-Ride in this order-Spider-Man, Hulk, Fearfall,Seuss Trolley Ride, One Fish, etc., Cat in the Hat, Dueling Dragons (Fire and Ice), Flying Unicorn, Jurassic Park River Adventure
Ripsaw Falls, Popeye ride, Posideon's FuryCaro-seuss-sel
-once finished all rides go back to hotel to rest?
-about 5pm go to Universal Studios
-Ride in this order Jimmy Neutron, Mummy, Jaws, MIB, E.T.,Nuthouse Coaster, Shrek 4-D, T2, Earthquake, twister
-New Years Eve tonight parks open till 1am

Tuesday 01/01/08 – IOA/US-go to Islands of Adventure and do any rides missed yesterday
-1pm go back to hotel to rest???possibly go to Florida Mall/Micheals (craft)
-3pm go to Universal Studios ride any rides missed yesterday
-Open until 11pm

Wednesday 02/01/08 shopping-check out early at 9am
-leave bags at the hotel in storage if possible
-go to Florida Mall from 9am-12pm (get a taxi)
- get a taxi to Disney’s POP Century Resort
-explore hotel and get some lunch at POP food court
-go to ST CLoud to Reptile World- the Serpenterium
-3pm go to Down Town Disney and explore the shops
-dinner at Planet Hollywood using the voucher
-get fridge out of Luggage Services

Thursday 03/01/08- AK/MK- 7am wake up and catch bus to Animal kingdom
-8am Animal Kingdom Park
-go to ride EE or fast pass it, go to KS to ride it or fast pass
-Explore the Pangani forest ,catch train to Conservation Station
-Explore Africa, go to Asia and explore Maharajah Jungle Trek
-11am get lunch at Flame Tree BBQ or Yak and Yeti CS
-11:30go to Dinoland USA, ride some rides if lines are short
-12:00 go to Camp Minnie Mickie, Explore the Tree of Life and Discovery Island
-1pm- Explore the stores near the Tree of Life
- go to pop to rest
-3:30 catch a bus to Magic Kingdom, walk or catch monorail to Contemporary
-5:00pm dinner at Chef Mickey’s
-7pm go to Magic Kingdom
Go to Tinkerbell Treasures
-9pm watch Wishes
-10pm watch Spectro-Magic Parade
-go on any rides with good lines, take night photos of castle etc


Friday 04/01/08 – BB/EPCOT-9am wake up
-9:30 bus to Blizzard Beach
-10am park opens
-12pm Lunch (CS)
-3pm go to pop to rest
-5pm go to EPCOT
-6pm dinner at Chefs de France
-8pm attempt to ride Soarin, Test Track
-don’t watch Illuminations tonight..instead get some rides done
-go to Living with the land, Journey into imagination
-Explore the World Showcase, take night time photos
-park closes at 12pm

Saturday 05/01/08 – MGM/EPCOT-sleep in today for Murray
-Jess go to Grand Floridian and explore Christmas display
-11am play mini golf at Winter Summerland
-1pm go straight to MGM
-have lunch at MGM
-ride TOT and R’n’R get fast passes
-go to the Animation show and the Walt Disney show
-see the 3pm stars and motor cars parade
-6pm Osborne Festival of Lights
-7pm catch bus to EPCOT
-8pm dinner at Akershus
-Get an early night

Sunday 06/01/08 – EPCOT/MK- 8am wake up
-9:00am EPCOT Future World
-11am explore the World Showcase in the day time, take photos
-1pm Lunch at Epcot
-2pm go to pop to rest
-4pm catch bus to the Poly explore the hotel
-6:05pm dinner at Kona Café
-Go to Magic Kingdom
-Meet Gab at 9pm at the hub
Magic Kingdom open till 11pm

Monday07/01/08 – TL/EPCOT-9am Wake up
-9:30am catch bus to Typhoon Lagoon
-10:00am Typhoon Lagoon opens
-Lunch at 12pm (CS)
-2pm go to Pop
-5pm go to EPCOt
-5:30pm meet Isa
6:30pm dinner at Le Cellier
Go to Disney Quest


Tuesday 08/01/08 – MK/EPCOT-8am wake up call
-8:30 catch bus to Magic Kingdom
-9am catch train to Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland
-12pm lunch
-3pm watch Dreams parade
-Explore Main Street

-5pm dinner at Coral Reef
-Explore Worldshow case

Thursday 10/01/08-MK/AK- 7am wake up
-7:30am bus to Magic Kingdom
-8am MK opens go to Fantasyland and tomorrowland
-10am explore the rest of the park, shop
-12pm lunch (CS)
-2pm catch bus to Animal Kingdom
-4pm watch Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade

Christmas week is always crowded, but it has the Magic, the atmosphere and decorations are great.

We usually only go for the evening, and avoid the crowds, espeically when the EMH are on.
