More Star Wars at Disney Hollywood Studios?

If rumours are true, both The American Idol Experience and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show will close at the end of 2014 to make way for an expanded Star Wars land - with construction to commence in 2015.

I actually think this rumour has legs - if you include Star Tours current proximity to Indy and Idol, it would be easy to convert the entire south east side of Disney Hollywood Studios into a Star Wars land - I guess time will tell.

There has been talk of this for quite some time around the webs, and I think its a great idea. I doubt I'd have spent time at either of those shows and a Star Wars land sounds amazing.

You can never have too much Star Wars, and given Disney's heavy investment in the franchise going forward, I think it's ideal.

Disney have confirmed that American Idol is closing in January, but deny that Indiana Jones Stunt show is closing. I still think it is a done deal and they are just waiting for budgets and the right timing to make an announcement - maybe the next D23 or something like that as it will be a HUGE announcement.
