I had heard some rumours today:
1 The Great Movie ride is to close
2 Maelstrom is to become a Frozen ride and something about it ending in Denmark
3 Soarin in WDW is to become Soarin around the world

True or False?

I've heard these at different times as well. I think the Soarin one is the strongest, and likely in both parks.

The great movie ride is interesting though. It moves a lot of people at a time, so they would need to replace it with a similar volume mover.

Perhaps Hollywood studios may see a lot of changes over the coming years, especially with Star Wars coming back and Marvel needing a home.

Yep - Soarin' is a certainty, they even filmed a new high definition finale over Disneyland using a helicopter back in March. They are going to use new digital projectors to make it even more lifelike - can't wait for this update!

I've heard the Maelstrom rumour too - the rumour began when the movie was moderately successful - but now that the movie is HUGELY successful, I wouldn't be surprised if they look to do something bigger and better than just re-skinning Maelstrom (that is purely my speculation).

Haven't heard a rumour about the Great Movie Ride. I like that attraction - it is unique and a people gobbler - I'd hate to see it go.

I've heard about the Soarin' one and I think its a great next phase.

The other rides I haven't seen, so if there were rumours, I probably ignored them... a Frozen ride has to be a given somewhere though... considering its popularity.

A cheap and quick Frozen add in would be at Blizzard Beach. It even fits perfect with the bring back summer story line.

More Frozen in the Parks news - Disneyland will get a Frozen-themed pre-parade soon prior to the daily showing of Soundsational.

as tacky and out of date the movie ride is I would love to see it updated. I know it wont happen but I really dif the ride.
