Disney and Pixar

Postby calisota » Sun Jul 24, 2005 5:36 am

Just posted an interesting rumour on the news page that Disney and Pixar may not be going their seperate ways. It would be good to see.

This has been on again, off again for some time now hasn't it. These two companies were really made for each other, I'm sure they will eventually bury the hatchet (and not in each other's backs...).

The fact that Pixar has not announced any other distribution deal would suggest to me that they have always kept the door slightly open for Disney to come back to the table. Pixar was right to balk at the deal Disney was offering - Pixar seem to have all the creative talent in animation at the moment, yet the current deal saw Disney getting a big stash of the cash.

Anyway - let's hope these two get back together - A Dreamworks/Pixar production just doesn't sound right...

I hadn't realised that the split wasn't as set in stone as I thought.

Good news. :D
